The magical Medina of Tunis. I made a local friend, his name is Clement. He is a sustainable, renewable energy engineer from France, who is living in Tunis. He also loves architecture and he loves photography.
When I asked him, "How did the Medina grow to be like this?" You know, it's just like a maze. In every corner there is a turn, and it's like a town that's molded based on the gravity of how people walked—just a very organic way of growing a city. He said, "Well, that's not planned. It's just people walked, and walking became paths, and paths became a city." I thought that was pretty magical.
