Hello, I had a pretty good day today. Honestly, I couldn't put down *Midnight Chicken*, and I'm so glad Hannah got it for me as a gift.
This morning, I was coworking with Rachel Lee, and Krit joined us halfway through. Sean was also there. I don't know if I told you, Sean was this kid I met at Hathorn. We went on a date. I just feel like he's such a yapper, and I think in our industry, the best way to prove our capability is through building and not yapping. But I feel like he's really good at yapping, and he's just always floating around different hackathons in a way that I'm like, "You sure have a lot of time. You're not looking for a job?" None of that, but anyways, he's a nice person. He just couldn't stop talking sometimes.
Krit got here, and we caught up on life. I also hand-onboarded Grid Glass's new version, and he helped me spot some Strava bugs that I squashed, which is great. And yeah, Krit, I don't know if I mentioned this to you, he is moving out of London. I mean, our friendship goes way back. We weren't super close in undergrad, but we worked together as co-RAs managing a floor of college kids from 2019 to 2020. And then we came to London around the same time. He quit his job at Goldman Sachs, and he's joining this coffee startup in Mumbai. Kudos to him. I feel like this is the time to chase our dreams, but also few people actually do it. I think it's so rare when someone actually is chasing their dream and not just saying it or having regrets in the future.
Then David Chambers Chambers and I went on this date I told you a little bit about. I like him. I think he's very sweet. I just don't know if there's that much chemistry. I can tell that he's a very thoughtful person. He's got really good taste in music and movies, but I think he's kind of shy. When he said goodbye, he was like, "Nice to meet you." Oh, sorry, "I mean, nice to spend time with you." I was like, "Yeah, it's our second date, dude."
I walked from Old Street all the way to London Fields for the date, and I stopped by this Vietnamese place and got some roasted pork belly with this really, really tangy sauce and also a banh mi, which I really liked. I was just craving some good food, and I'm glad I got it.
